Hi guys, title says it all, im having a problem with hamachi. It keeps on saying "failed to connect to the engine" and when i check my ipv4 adress, it's how it used to be!(Hamachi uses a network driver or whatever it's called that changes ur ipv4 adress)can someone help me cause if i don't get any help i won't be able to host my server or go on my friends. Thank you!
If you are using a router, be sure to set your local address in port forwarding along with port 25566. I also go into LAN options and set my local IP in a reserved slot so it doesn't change.

Which parts did you try? Is the service running? Did you check those entries exist in the registry? Google the error you're getting with "Hamachi" in the search and read more pages about it. I got quite a few results when I googled it. Why do you even need Hamachi anyway? Just setup a port forward in your router like Gr8ful suggested and give your public IP to your friend.
FYI If you're using hamachi you don't need to port forward, That's one of it's popular uses... It uses a Virtual Network and uses ports that are unblocked by 90% of routers and configure each other through logmein's servers. You shouldn't need to port forward if you're using Hamachi. But if you're trying to connect to an Online mode server using it.. You're not gonna get very far.
Unplug your router for about 10 seconds and then plug it back in. Then try to connect to it. If you still can't connect then open a command prompt (Start -> Run... -> cmd [or find command prompt in start menu]) and type "ipconfig /all". Somewhere in the sea of text you'll see "Default Gateway" which is your router's IP address. Type this into the address bar of your web browser to get to the admin page. If it still don't work try a different browser or computer. Once you get in there follow the instructions on the port forward website for your router.
Once there, go to port forwarding/triggering. Add your local IP...for example,(192.168.1.200). And use port 25566. Once finished you won't even need the resource hungry Hamachi to host a game. Just give your public IP to your friends to connect to.

Depends on his brand of router. D-Link for example is generally 192.168.0.1 and admin/blank for credentials. You may have to RTFM. lol

Well... I haz a 2 week wait on me to do that... BUTTTT I haz looked up my default gateway a billion times and won't connect.
BTWi need hamachi to connect to ma friends server.
Did you try removing Hamachi and reinstalling it? If that doesn't work, remove it again, run CCleaner (do registry clean as well and backup the file when prompted), then reboot and reinstall Hamachi. CCleaner will remove all saved passwords and history from your web browsers unless you uncheck those options in the list.

FYI, Usually you only need to port forward if you're hosting something, You're router should allow outgoing traffic to return information!

Your router login by default should be....
Address: 192.168.1.1
User: admin
Password: password

Sorry 'bout that. Anyway, you can always go to www.whatsmyip.org and it will be listed at the top of the page.
Linksys and Netgear use 192.168.1.1

Oh yeah I remember I already forwarded my ports be4 my router login page stopped going! But only I could connect to my server!
BTW... I do use netgear but on a cg3000d and it SUCKS! xD
