Gr8ful 55
I do believe Optifine works in the 'jar-mods' folder now if you are installing your mods manually. P.S. -- I'M BACK! Stylez and Jasenty
Jasenty 18
So... I guess even if Elo gets 1.4.5 RP updated, she's going to have a possibly hayday with the 1.5- Redstone Heavy update. Oh gee.
Stylez 160
Yep! I'm considering just ditching the server until Minecraft and the mods stabilize... it's not worth the $30 a month to just sit there "waiting for the stars to align." EDIT: I've requested cancellation at the end of the current billing cycle. I'll re-evaluate when RP2 comes out and FTB is updated and stabilized to the point they're not removing mods from the pack and corrupting worlds. Also hoping to see more Bukkit-like mods ported to Forge. I'm also working on projects in Second Life and don't have time to devote to a finnicky SMP server right now. The service will be cancelled at the end of your current billing period on 2013/01/15 Jasenty, TheBrian666 and Gr8ful
Jasenty 18
I really don't blame ya Stylez, this is ridiculous. Gr8ful

Stylez 160
Yup, I can do that just before it comes down (assuming it does).

Jasenty 18
Here's hoping for the 22nd to be the release date:D
Stylez 160
Sooo January it is!
Gr8ful 55
That was actually a joke guys. I'm guessing in the next few days. Here's hoping anyway!
Jasenty 18
Well, on the off chance that Elo is actually serious, I wont keep my hopes up too high for a few days:D
Gr8ful 55
It wasn't Eloraam that posted that, it was SlowPoke from the FTB forums. I'm pretty sure he was trolling everyone.
Jasenty 18
Elo doesnt talk. She telepathically communicated this message to Slow and he posted it for everyone to see. Elo is mute, across the board, online and offline.
Humbleness51 1
I dont see the need really to switch to ftb i mean it doesnt even have equivalent exchange and i dont think tekkit is going to be shut down by the modders any time soon because of the attention that it has brung to the individual mods. It doesnt even have optifine and again, equivalent exchange is a huge deal (at least to me)
Jasenty 18
EE wouldnt be on this server considering the theme of what Stylez is going for. FTB has mods that are constantly being updated by mod authors/devs. I swear, everytime I log into the FTB launcher, there is an update. When I logged into Tekkit, there was no update. There hasnt been an update for it in months. Therefor, the wiser option to chose is FTB. If you want EE and TC2, try the mod pack in the launcher itself called Magic World or something. Humbleness51 1
Well i guess it would be nice to try something new considering ive done pretty much everything in technic so far.
Gr8ful 55
The main reason I think we are moving away from Tekkit is the fact that they never had proper permissions from the mod authors to use their mods in the pack. FTB has full support of the mod authors and as Jasenty pointed out, FTB seems to consistently update. FTB has several different packs to choose from, including the "Magic" pack which contains Equivalent Exchange as well as other magic type mods; i.e Twilight Forest, Mystcraft, Thaumcraft, etc. Jasenty
Jasenty 18
Twilight Forest, btw, amazing! And cheap to go to as well. Flowers+2x2 Water+Diamond=Loads of fun!
Gr8ful 55
This is a pretty good interview with SlowPoke about FTB and some information of what's coming soon! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kb7qlCjSlJQ&feature=youtu.be TheBrian666
