The main reason I think we are moving away from Tekkit is the fact that they never had proper permissions from the mod authors to use their mods in the pack. FTB has full support of the mod authors and as Jasenty pointed out, FTB seems to consistently update. FTB has several different packs to choose from, including the "Magic" pack which contains Equivalent Exchange as well as other magic type mods; i.e Twilight Forest, Mystcraft, Thaumcraft, etc.

I think you should try 'Don't Starve'. If I could afford to buy that one I would have already done it. The demo play is about 15 minutes.....just enough to get me hooked. It's going to be a really popular LP in my opinion. Some guys have already started doing them.

This looks really well thought out. I would love to see us use this and keep the vanilla server build. Bukkit is nice, but it has it's own bugs and updates. You can't go wrong using the original server. Especially with more and more mods like this surfacing.

If the power output of IC2 can be duplicated from another compatible mod, IC2 can be dropped. There are certainly better mods out there.

If Metallurgy is going to be compatible with IC2 and Thermal Expansion that's a plus. It looks like a really nice mod that keeps getting better.

I'm pretty sure Factorization has a 'macerator' type machine that does what you're looking for; doubling and tripling output of ores.

This mod definitely looks very interesting. Maybe we can put together a pack of mods ourselves and submit it to FTB for the launcher? I think I would really like to see this mod in our pack. EDIT: Pack would have to be a private use for our server, unless we magically got all the mod makers permissions to use them.

Definitely watch The Man From Earth! Might seem a little slow, but the overall story was really very good. Really well written.
